Organisational Development and Change
Innovative approaches, including specially-designed workshops for all senior managers, story videos and books, learning circles, participatory methods, cross-divisional vision conversations, and applying metaphor and narrative approaches.
Transitions
Applying Bridges' 'transitions' model to balance structural change design with the accompanying people dynamics - by integrating human elements at every phase of change. The benefits have been particularly evident in the process of company mergers and acquisitions.
Participatory Processes
Organisations are giving increasing attention to involving staff and stakeholders in a range of decisions for various benefits - commitment, connectivity, and better solutions among them. Apart from including multiple stakeholders in team development workshops, I also design and facilitate Open Space and Future Search events, which can also help markedly in 'unblocking' intransigent conflicted situations.
Inter-team Workshops
In work environments such as IT projects and alliance construction projects, there is an imperative to build collaboration at a team level. I conduct workshops to bridge different organisational cultures and enhance co-operation.
Mentorships
When companies set up internal mentoring programs, involving experienced people and younger recruits, I can conduct short programs to build initial connections, clarify roles, and model optimal conversation formats.
Story
My extensive experience with story approaches, since 1990, equips me to help managers, supervisors and staff to strengthen the application to all interactive settings - from influencing to team briefings, from marketing to team identity, from coaching to shaping mindsets and behaviour, from relationship building to self-understanding.
Interpersonal Skills
My approach to building interpersonal skills is built from Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and includes a large suite of practical exercises, debriefs, practice and feedback. Usually, I start with a platform of core connection skills, then adding a range of other important elements, leading to several application frames for multiple uses, such as negotiating, mediating, presenting, counselling, coaching, resolving issues, and influencing. I have provided workshops in this area from 3 to 6 days, short 'follow-on' programs of ½ to 1 day, and a core-plus program with action learning for 6 months.
